Mt Buller Park

Rip it up at Mt Buller this winter in one of our awesome terrain parks. The resort's freeride facilities will again be one of the top features and a must do resort experiences this winter.

Mt Buller Park - MBP - has something for everyone, whether you like to ride the rails, race on the rider cross course or pull some air off one of the huge summit jumps.

MBP is the place to be for freestyle fun.

Check out the Park Report for more details on what's happening in the MBP today.

Developed to suit all levels, the MBP allows riders to build confidence and practice and improve their existing skill set in the following park set ups;

  • Kofler's Park - open 9am to 4pm daily
The MBP range of beginner freestyle facilities are located at Koflers T-bar near the top of the Wombat Chair. We propose to have a range of rails that will allow those who are just starting out ease into the world of rails and feature fun.
  • Skyline Park - open 9am to 4pm daily
Intermediate rail riders and jump masters should head to the Skyline Park where rails, jumps and features have been primed for intermediate skiers and boarders.
  • Summit Park - open 9.30 to 3.30pm daily
Experienced riders should head to the Summit Terrain Park to try out the range of challenging jumps and terrain park features.
  • Terrain Garden - open 10.00 to 3.00pm daily
Intermediate and Experienced riders should head to the Terrain Garden located at the top of the Bull Run chair lift. This park contains a variety of features including the all NEW Wooly-butt logs.
  • Rider Cross - open 9.30 to 4.00pm daily
Riders of all abilities can race friends head to head at the Rider Cross Course. Located at the top of the Bull Run chair containing berms, rollers and jumps of various shapes and sizes.

 MBP Events

The Mt Buller Park plays host to some of Australia's hottest freestyle events including the annual Cattleman's Rail Jam presented by Burton which showcases Australia's best riders displaying their skill and daring on the monster staircase in the heart of the village.

International Smart Style

In line with the international 'Smart Style' standards, the MBP is graded from S to XL (easy to hard) to allow people to easily match each terrain park with their personal abilities.

Smart Style Guidelines

When on the mountain please ensure at all times that you adhere to the smart style guide lines which are:

  1. Make a plan
Every time you use freestyle terrain, make a plan for each feature you want to use. Your speed, approach and take off will directly affect your manoeuvre and landing.
  2. Look before you leap
Scope around the jumps first, not over them. Know your landings are clear and clear yourself out of the landing area.
  3. Easy style it
Start small and work your way up.
  4. Respect gets respect
From the lift line through the park.

We strongly recommend the wearing of helmets to help protect your head when using our terrain parks.
