The Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board (RMB) is a leader in alpine waste management in Victoria. Innovative programs are in place for the collection and re-use of recyclable and organic materials. All programs are implemented in accordance with Victoria's waste policy ‘Towards Zero Waste' with support obtained via membership of NevRwaste (North East Regional Waste Management Group).
The RMB is proud to be part of an extensive waste management program in which we support recycling. We've made it easy for you to actively help us in preserving and protecting our special environment. You too can be proud of playing your part by using the recycling bags provided. The aim of the RMB is to continue to apply best practice waste management principles to achieve the following diversion and landfill targets:
- 40% recycling
- 50% organics
- 10% or less waste to landfill
