Bushwalking

Environment>Eco Tourism>Bushwalking

Bushwalking is a popular activity at Mt Buller and Mt Stirling. There are many different walks to suit varying abilities and expectations, from a relaxed, educational ramble to a daylong epic. Many walks are based around the Mt Buller Village and in the summit area. Other walks will allow the adventurous type to explore more remote areas where they can experience the solitude and beauty of this spectacular region.

Before venturing into the bush it is important to be properly prepared. Ensure you are carrying appropriate maps, supplies, and equipment and safety gear. Make sure you know where you are going and tell someone else before you go. Trip Intentions forms are available from the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management office. Also, be mindful of the damage you can cause to the natural environment and keep to designated trails.

A walking brochure is available to guide you on your walk. This can be downloaded by clicking on the map.
